  In this role, you will: (Principal Responsibilities)

   

  ·         Create and improve patte
  s for deploying infrastructure as code to support components built with microservices architectures in Java and Python

  ·         Ensure all infrastructure as code deployments meet bank standards for IT security

  ·         Work with Cloud Architects to design and implement patte
  s for cloud networking, IT security assurance, service deployment and service management that comply with strict bank and regulatory standards

  ·         Troubleshoot issues with infrastructure and service deployments and use lea
  ings to improve and strengthen cloud infrastructure

  ·         Implement automation tools and frameworks

  ·         Conduct detailed reviews of infrastructure as code elements and communicate feedback to cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of delivery across multiple solution components

  ·         Collaborate within the programme and across the organisation to improve engineering tools, systems, procedures and data security

  ·         Seek ways to provide automation that helps assure security, performance and availability of cloud infrastructure and services

   

  ·         Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation

  To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: (Must have Requirements

  ·         Bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering discipline

  ·         3+ years as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent experience that can be easily translated into DevOps

  ·         A strong problem-solving capability

  ·         Expert in code deployment tools and frameworks

  ·         An ability to understand and maintain Java web applications

  ·         Cloud (detailed knowledge of at least one cloud platform)

  o    Google Cloud Platform (GCP) strongly preferred

  o    Amazon Web Services (AWS) acceptable

  ·         Strong working knowledge of code repositories (e.g. Github, Bitbucket)

  ·         Jenkins (detailed knowledge required)

  ·         Build and Deploy Pipelines - Installation and Configuration

  ·         Code and Image Scanning Tools (e.g. Sonarqube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ)

  ·         Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools such as:

  o    Terraform/Terragrunt
