     This role sits within the Wholesale Basel III Reform Programme.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    The Project Manager will work under the direction of the DIS Platform Manager towards an overall goal of project delivery, plus from budgeting till implementation activities.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    The Project Manager will;

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    ·         Work closely with the Platform Manager to create an overall roadmap and plan.

     

     

     

    ·         Track and report progress against the plan, raising and managing relevant risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies as required.

     

     

     

    ·         Lead agile team to deliver well structured, maintainable and full tested solutions to time and budget.

     

     

     

    ·         Responsible for hiring, onboarding, contract exention

     

     

     

    ·         Initiation and implemention of productivity and quality initiatives.

     

     

     

    ·         Work with tech lead/pod leads to streamline build, test and DevOps processes.

     

     

     

    ·         Coordinate with Pod Leads for NFRs that are required for environment setup.

     

     

     

    ·         Escalate issues to the Platform Manager in an appropriate manner.

     

     

     

    ·         Attend project calls/meetings as required.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Particular expertise is required around

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    ·         Open mind-set to change and adapt, pro-active and self-motivated who can take full ownership

     

     

     

    and accountability

     

     

     

    ·         Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

     

     

     

    ·         Helping team members solve technical problems and provide technical SME knowledge and guidance.

     

     

     

    ·         Java server side + mciro-services development experience is essential. Strong Java 8+ hands-on experience

     

     

     

    ·         Experienced in status reporting, flagging risk & issues in time along with mitigation plan.

     

     

     

    ·         Prior experience working within HSBC is desirable.

     

     

     

    ·         Proven relevant experience in both technical project management in agile methodologies.

     

     

     

    ·         Identification and management of risks, issues, mitigations as they pertain to environments management.

     

     

     

    ·         Good interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

     

     

     

    ·         Working within agile project delivery.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Experience:

     

     

     

    ·         Proven track record as a Project Manager with multi-year experience within the Financial Sector and ideally with a focus on Wholesale banking and Credit Risk

     

     

     

    ·         Experience in working with global teams.

     

     

     

    ·         Desirable to have experience at HSBC within regulatory projects or Credit Risk

     

     

     

    ·         Project Management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP) would be beneficial but are not essential
