  Job Title : Java Developer

  Shift timings : 12.30PM to 9.30PM IST

  Location : Pune

  Interview Rounds : 2

   

  1. Project Overview: You will be part of a diverse and talented Private Passport WM team. Project work will be on mission critical applications, which allows our clients to access their accounts and content from industry-leading experts anywhere, anytime. There will be continual opportunities to work with geographically dispersed teams to develop global solutions. The developer will participate in the complete application development lifecycle from concept to implementation.

  2. Contractor’s Role: As a partner on the Goals Driven Private Passport WM Team, you will be an integral part of one of our nimble and agile cross-functional teams innovating an entire industry. We cherish and nourish our diverse and inclusive culture and welcome you to help us further grow our community. As a Backend Java Developer, you will:

  a. Work closely with other developers/architect to design and develop functional, performing and complete features, systems and APIs

  b. Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution by not being afraid of challenging the status quo

  c. Identify appropriate technical solutions that provide business value while mitigating technical debt

  d. Participate in R&D and POC’s before active development for any key features where solutions need to be created.

  e. Enable the development organization by creating working examples

  f. Liaise with the Lead Architecture group

  g. Solve problems collaboratively

  h. Work with other developers on the team, specifically with code reviews and pair programming

  i. Decipher existing software systems and platforms and hook in applications to applicable data sources

  j. Write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks.

   

  3. Experience Level: 5+ years of exp

  Java : Overall min 5+

  Spring / Spring boot : 3+ years

  Microservices : 1+ hands on exp

  DBMS : 1+ years of hands on exp

  DevOps : CI/CD Pipelines : Some or extensive knowledge to do day to day activities.

  Candidate will develop private passport application.

   

  4. Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or higher as well as related field of study or equivalent experience

   

  5. Must have skills :

  a. Extensive DevOps experience developing and delivering products in a collaborative, agile team environment

  b. Extensive knowledge of Java, Java web applications, and mode
  Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, Spring Security, Kafka , Pivotal Cloud Foundry etc.)

  c. Strong understanding of Object Oriented technology and standard Java development frameworks, including OOD and OOP skills

  d. Strong Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Bamboo, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tool

  e. Strong understanding of RDBMS / NOSQL databases concepts.

  f. Strong Experience with extreme programming (XP) practices (TDD/BDD, CI/CD, paired programming, etc.)

  g. Strong Experience in using IDEs like Eclipse 3.x, IntelliJ IDEA

  h. Strong Experience with creating technical solutions that are pragmatic and align to business needs

  i. Ability to solve complex technical problems

  j. Ability to mentor and grow other software engineers

  6. Nice to Haves:

  a. Experience working with mode
  web application frameworks (ReactJS)

  b. Experience working with microservice architectures and 12-factor cloud native principles

  c. Experience with Javascript and XQuery

  d. Experience with messaging tools like RabbitMQ, kafka, MQ and Solace

  e. Experience with Mocking and testing frameworks

  f. Experience with Jackson libraries for XML/JSON

  g. Experience with Version control System like GIT

  h. Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kube
  etes)

  i. Experience implementing a role-based security model and configure permissions and privileges

  j. Experience developing enterprise applications that support high traffic volumes

  k. Hands-on experience with any one of cloud platforms (PCF, AWS, Azure, GCP)

  l. Practical understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts

   

  7. Tasks & responsibilities : As an backend engineer within our team, you will be responsible for writing quality, accurate, testable code along with the right architecture. You will work with a geographically dispersed, agile team to effectively translate requirements into solutions and seamlessly interface.
