  Job Description: Platform Automation Engineer

  Location: Pune, India

  Primary responsibilities:

  • Advise and support infrastructure team engineers the building and maintenance of automations

  • Manage our Ansible AWX instances

  • Advise and support infrastructure teams in the use of our Ansible AWX service

  • Research and develop automation code for common tasks

  • Develop automation artifacts including custom scripts, runbook, development & implementation of automation workflows and configuration management using ansible playbooks

  • Manage the Platform Automation Cloud Lab

  Secondary responsibilities:

  • Document automation frameworks proven to be viable within Northe
  Trust

  • Coordinate the development and documentation of Northe
  Trust automation standards

  • Undertake automation development (coding) assignments for infrastructure teams

  • Document and test automation artifacts to client specifications

  • Develop presentation material for automation events

  • Complete other tasks and activities defined in Performance Documents

  • Understand code and refactor existing automation solutions.

  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks requested by the Platform Automation Lead

   

  Skills:

   

  • Graduation degree in computer science or similar domain.

  • Well versed with service integration and automation frameworks.

  • Strong experience with Ansible , Automation orchestrators like Ansible Tower , AWX and knowledge of Service Now and vMware Orchestrator is plus.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages Python, Powershell , Batch and Bash.

  • Good understanding and implementation of RESTful APIs.

  • Understanding of LINUX RHEL, Windows and Microsoft Active Directory.

  • Understanding of source code repository management tools such as Git.

  • Experience working in a cross functional DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery systems.

  • Insight of AWS, AZURE , docker containers , Kube
  etes , Service Now, vMware and Middleware Technologies is an added advantage.

  • Comfortable with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment.

  • Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment.

  • Good Communication skills.

  Overall 4+ years exp and relevant 2+ years of exp are required
