JD is as follows:
Overall 6-8+ years of experience with Teradata DBA experience
o Strong Teradata DBA experience in managing huge volume of data ( Peta bytes ) and ensuring it’s performant.
o Experience in large asset of Database migrations from one data centers to another data centers.
o Experience in setting up infrastructure, defining data pipelines for data ingestion, data transformation, and data analytics.
o Perform DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management and Performance Management & Reporting for Teradata landscape in synch with program gove
ance back logs.o Strong in Massively Parallel Processing design principals, security, and the factors that affect distributed system performance.
o Experience in day-to-day MPP based Database Administration activities like role management, concurrency control, Database monitoring.
o Experience in Enable metering, showback/ chargeback capabilities, and enhanced monitoring across the platforms in scope.
o Experience in operating in SDLC/DevSecOps practices such as automating processes pipeline.
o Experience in building Data repository for technical metadata and logs, enabling metadata catalog, forensics, capacity planning and proactive features
o Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Shell
o Expertise in workload management tools, Platform monitoring tools
o Proactive & Reactive alerts monitoring & knowledge on query logging and resource usage data analysis
o Database Fragmentation, Database Maintenance tasks with understanding on data archive/restore policies
o Optimizing of functionality, query tuning & application performance tuning
o Supporting users with access requests, migration tasks, debugging and analyzing issues and providing support/solution for the same.
o Experience in Installation/Upgrade/Patching of Teradata.
