  Job Description:

  1. Project Overview: You will be part of a diverse and talented software Private Passport WM team that is leading our strategic evolution. Project work will be on mission critical applications for a leading inte
  ational Financial Institution. There will be continual opportunities to work with geographically dispersed teams to develop unique global solutions. The developer will participate in the complete application development lifecycle from concept to implementation.

  2. Contractor’s Role: As a partner on the Goals Driven Private Passport WM Team, you will be an integral part of one of our nimble and agile cross-functional teams innovating an entire industry. We cherish and nourish our diverse and inclusive culture and welcome you to help us further grow our community. As a Full Stack Technical Developer, you will:

  a. Work closely with other developers to design and develop functional, performing and complete features, systems and APIs

  b. Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution by not being afraid of challenging the status quo

  c. Identify appropriate technical solutions that provide business value while mitigating technical debt

  d. Participate in R&D and POC’s before active development for any key features where solutions need to be created.

  e. Enable the development organization by creating working examples

  f. Liaise with the Wealth Lead Architecture Groups

  g. Solve problems collaboratively

  h. Work with other developers on the team, specifically with code reviews and pair programming

  i. Decipher existing software systems and platforms and hook in applications to applicable data sources

  j. Write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks.

  4. Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or higher as well as related field of study or equivalent experience

   

  5. Must have skills :

  a. Extensive DevOps experience developing and delivering products in a collaborative, agile team environment

  b. Extensive knowledge of Java, Java web applications, and mode
  Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, Spring Security, etc.)

  c. Strong understanding of Object Oriented technology and standard Java development frameworks, including OOD and OOP skills

  d. Strong Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse or other CI/CD tool

  e. Strong understanding of RDBMS / NOSQL databases concepts.

  f. Strong Experience with extreme programming (XP) practices (TDD/BDD, CI/CD, paired programming, etc.)

  g. Strong Experience with mode
  web application frameworks (ReactJS)

  h. Strong Experience in using IDEs like Eclipse 3.x, IntelliJ IDEA

  i. Strong Experience with creating technical solutions that are pragmatic and align to business needs

  j. Strong collaboration, communication, and coaching skills; ability to navigate social and political issues inside the organization

  k. Ability to solve complex technical problems

  l. Ability to mentor and grow other software engineers

   

  6. Nice to Haves:

  a. Experience working with microservice architectures and 12-factor cloud native principles

  b. Experience with Javascript and XQuery

  c. Experience with messaging tools like RabbitMQ, kafka, MQ and Solace

  d. Experience with Mocking and testing frameworks

  e. Experience with Jackson libraries for XML/JSON

  f. Experience with Version control System like GIT

  g. Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kube
  etes)

  h. Experience implementing a role-based security model and configure permissions and privileges

  i. Experience developing enterprise applications that support high traffic volumes

  j. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (PCF, AWS, Azure, GCP)

  k. Experience with MarkLogic and XQuery

  l. Practical understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts

   

  7. Tasks & responsibilities : As an engineer within our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders and writing quality, accurate, testable code along with the right architecture. You will work with a geographically dispersed, agile team to effectively translate requirements into solutions and seamlessly interface with business partners and technical staff. We are looking for an individual that has experience in the full stack, front to back architecture and engineering of an application with a passion for growing skills as well as solving complex and challenging problems. Aside from core programming, in this role you will work with the business stakeholders, and product management to match technical solutions to business needs as well as work with others to mentor and grow other programmers.
