    Technical Lead – Microfocus professional
    Role technical skills required
    •    Mandatory
    o    Advanced Microfocus knowledge with Administration activities.
    o    GitLab/ GitHub
    o    SQL Server
    o    Control-M
    o    AWS infrastructure knowledge
    o    z/OS experience
    o    CICS / COBOL
    o    Clist / REXX
    o    DB2 / SQL
    •    Nice to Have now (but mandatory in future)
    o    Shell Scripting
    o    Python

    Role Responsibilities
    •    Manage to completion any incidents raised by business teams during business day including:
    o    Own Microfocus defects , troubleshooting and BAU incidents assigned from Service Desk (i.e. provide l2 and l3 support)
    o    Communicate directly with business team members to understand issue, advise of progress and deliver resolution
    o    Where short term patch applied for the defects, ensure root cause analysis undertaken
    o    Meet agreed SLAs
    •    Manage batch processing
    o    Ensure batch issues (daytime and ove
    ight) are addressed to allow batch timeframes to be met

    o    Where ove
    ight batch issues result in delays, escalate to relevant management to allow business communications

    o    Where short term patches applied, ensure root cause analysis undertaken
    •    Manage enhancements
    o    Work with technology practice, Microfocus  and business teams to deliver minor enhancements the existing capabilities
    o    Assist in testing of end to end solutions requiring bulk processing of  data in Microfocus environment.
    o    Active Participation in BAU DR activities
    •    Support projects
    o    Where required, undertake analysis to assess impact on the Microfocus platform.
    o    Undertake product/platform assessment and put roadmaps for the Microfocus on AWS software life cycle management
