• Job Description

  The Implementation Manager will have overall responsibility for introducing ISO20022 into the all affected countries for RTGS & CBPR+ in an effective manner. They will ensure that all requirements relating to the Global ISO20022 programme are managed through to their completion with a high level of quality. This will include ownership & management of the overall Implementation Strategy & coordination with the wider Technology Teams.

  Responsibilities

  The implementation manager will specialise in implementing new systems, networks, and processes that meet the wider objectives of the programme. Typically, their responsibilities will revolve around overseeing the Implementation team to ensure that everything is running smoothly, devising action and work plans, coordinating with different departments, monitoring requisitions and information materials, and verifying their accuracy. The implementation manager will also address issues and conce
  s, providing technical support when necessary.

  He/she must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders, the programme office, the wider project and portfolio teams.

  Furthermore, it is essential that they possess strong leadership & mentoring skills, and fully adhere to the company\'s policies and regulations.

  Additionally, this individual would be the backup lead for the overall RTGS Programme Manager

   

  The Implementation Manager has full accountability for the delivery of new programmes or systems on a day-to-day basis including:

  § Consolidation of all implementation demand across the ISO20022 project

  § Market coordination including assessing cluster risks/blockers and driving their path to green, including re-planning and agreeing final dates with core assets for E2E Implementation

  § Understanding implementation issues and aligning with component teams to help expedite solutions

  § Understanding implementation rules and translating into common business language

  § Providing technical guidance and leadership to the ISO 200022 programme

  § Identifying implementation constraints and dependency management issues across multiple markets and provide mitigating action

  § Anticipating and identifying existing or emerging RAID’s from a delivery viewpoint

  § Supporting project and IT teams to ensure optimal utilization and prioritization of the task

  § Maintaining the Implementation roadmap, identifying, resolving and where necessary escalating conflicts, as well as managing relevant dependencies

  § Working with the Programme Leads to ensure common standards are implemented throughout the project

  § Conducting post Implementation reviews and ensure exit criteria is met

  § Ensuring All documentation is maintained and adheres to compliance regulations

  § Performing detailed planning which incorporates all dependencies

  § Proactively monitoring overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate

  § Managing the Implementation reporting obligations within the delivery gove
  ance framework

  § Defining and implementing implementation / readiness best practice standards across the ISO programme

  § Defining and managing the Technology Command Centre from the pre-Go Live, through the implementation and Business days following

  § Define and implementation of the communication strategy

  § Establishing scenario event planning to ensure HSBC are prepared for any situation inte
  ally and market driven post and ISO Go Live and key stakeholder teams are drilled accordingly
