  Job Role: Infrastructure QA Lead - EMS/Database

  Location: Pune

  Duration: 6 months (C2H)

  Level of experience: Overall 9+ till 12. Min recent 4+ exp working as lead

  Shift: EMEA

   

  Project Overview:

  SQM Infrastructure Testing practice manages the quality of infrastructure projects and changes, such as patching, upgrades, integrations, and emergency fix. The team is responsible for testing the changes in terms of Platform, Network, Security, Middleware, Database, Storage, End User Computing and Digital Services.

   

  Contractor Role:

  • Responsible for Infrastructure Test Strategy for Infra Changes and Projects.

  • Primary expectation is manage program demand intake, quality delivery, test planning, schedules, risks and issues, incident analysis.

  • The lead is responsible for general project management elements like planning, execution, monitoring, testing, and project closure to embed quality delivery for infrastructure Engineering & Operations projects.

  • Accountable to deliver estimate efforts, track financials, hold monthly meetings with Infra leadership and address failed changes incidents and identify do better opportunities.

  • Accountable to drive quality efficiencies and effectiveness using automated solutions for Infrastructure Server Platform changes, testing life cycle and change process optimization.

   

  Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and Lead testing of Infrastructure components

  • Lead and executing testing for one or many of the following Infra components - Platform, Network & Security, End User Computing, Digital Services, Storage, EMS, Database, Middleware

  • Lead /Perform Disaster Recovery/Failover testing

   

  EMS/Database- Changes in EMS or and distributed database

  - Proficient with EMS, Middleware and Database Administration

  - Proficient in Data Modelling & Data Warehouse concepts and design

  - Experience with Open Source and commercial databases such as Oracle DB, MySQL or PostgreSQL

  - Provide first-level RDBMS / Middleware Platform support.

  - Performance monitoring and tuning.

  - Participates in Disaster Recovery activities.

  - A sound understanding of EMS, Oracle and MS SQL Databases.

   

  Go to Have:

  - Understanding of Cloud technology/infrastructure and Kube
  etes / Docker will be a great asset.

  - Experience in coordinating architecture, design, testing and implementation activities for multiple work streams/projects.

  - Analytical and effective problem solving skills.

  - Lead, mentor , communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a distributed team.

  - Minimum 8 years’ experience.
