    Job Description: Job Role: QA Environment Manager

    Location: Pune

    Duration: 6+ months

    Shift: EMEA

    Experience: Overall 8+ and relevant 5+ yrs of exp

     

    The Environment Management is a key function of the SQM Team and will be expected to be a driving force in mode
    ising our environment management practices, with the goal of minimising risk to production and in-tu
    , to our clients. As part of the wider SQM Team, you shall provide test data service to enterprise test environments for the success of the projects, programs as well owns the upkeeping of these environments close by production with reservation, ServiceNow Incident management and standard operating process. Enterprise test environments are designed to support end-end workflow validation for complex systems as path to production.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Understand big picture at enterprise/program level from testing perspective with regards to enterprise test environments availability and support of the end to end environments.

    • Ensure that the Enterprise level test environment supporting key business Capabilities and providing specified levels of service and stability.

    • Act as part of the test environment transformation project team to stay up to date changes from the project that will implement changes to the non-prod environments and impacts.

    • Ensure the availability and fitness of environments to support the project and Client testing

    • Ensure sound Incident, Problem, Change ,configuration and Release Management

    • Manage and maintain environments including Environment Health checks/rebuilds /Monitoring /refreshes

    • Provide environment and risk related metrics as and when required

    • Conduct regular incident reviews and root cause analysis

    • Cultivate long-term strategic & collaborative relationships with key stakeholders

    • Actively prevent and resolve risk to the resilience, robustness or utility of environments

    • Work with various IT functional groups to ensure end-to-end system security in regards to data exchange between systems both inte
    al and exte
    al.

    • Collaborating with systems, network, database, technicians on proposed projects to ensure enterprise standards are maintained

    • Gather and present summarized as well as detailed status on progress, issues and risks

    • Work effectively with the clients, testing /project teams and Application teams.

    • Resolve environment issues in testing, anticipate risks and ensure their timely escalation to upper management

    • Identify opportunities of improving Test environment & support.

     

    Skills required:

     

    • 6+ years of proven Environment management/Support or equivalent experience

    • Messaging Services and Queues, Database and Networking, Webservices Knowledge

    • Basic Experience of the Automation (Selenium /Java)

    • Strong technical background and fluent in technical communications

    • Use of standard Agile techniques and Monitoring tools

    • Detailed knowledge on best practices, strategies, and processes associated with the ITIL (information technology infrastructure library) framework

    • Detailed knowledge on best practices and methodologies relating to engineering delivery including product development, DevOps and testing automation.
