  Job Title: Middleware engineer

  Location: Pune

  Duration: 6+ months (C2H)

  Budget: Rs 1480/hr to Rs 2072/hr

   

  MAIN DUTIES:

  Northe
  Trust Enterprise Middleware Service team is looking for a middleware system engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot the bank’s rapidly expanding IBM real data replication cluster and other mission critical middleware systems. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

   

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all environments (Development, Testing and Production) of IBM RDR cluster, IBM InfoSphere suite (DataStage/Quality Stage etc.) and SAP Business Objects cluster.

  • Install, configure and provide support for functional and performance testing of new features of mode
  data replication, ETL and BI systems.

  • Work with application developers in POCs to design solutions with novel and advanced product features

  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

  • Participate in setting up security, backup, and redundancy strategies

  • Provide 3rd level support and act as an assistant to the technical leader of offshore support team

  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

   

  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  Qualifications:

  BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

  Minimum of 5+ years of system administration experience

   

  Skills sets

  The following are required skills:

  * Working experience with IBM RDR/ IBM DataStage must.

  * Knowledge of reporting systems such as SAP BO

  * Knowledge of scripting (Python, Java, Shell etc.)

  * Knowledge/experience with GIT and CI/CD

  * Familiarity with Java

  * Familiarity/experience with Automation tools a + (Ansible, Azure DevOps, etc.)

  * General unix support skills (services, bash, scripting, etc.)*

  * Must be a self-starter
