  Job Summary: To perform assigned work swiftly, safely and to a high standard. To oversee the

  duties of apprentices as required.

   

   

  General Responsibilities:

  · Senior Mechanic

  · Team Leader

  · Bodyshop Team

  · Parts Team

   

   

  Key responsibilities:

   

  · To perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to the Company and Manufacturers

  standards

  · To advise the workshop controller if additional work is required on the vehicle and seek

  assistance from them in the rectification of any faults

  · To maintain a high level of competence for work to be undertaken by undergoing on site

  training, attending courses at suppliers and manufacturers and reading technical bulletins

  as required

  · To discuss with customers, problems with their vehicles as requested

  · To ensure that the Company image of professionalism and quality of service is maintained

  when dealing with customers

  · To operate all equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

  · To assist management in the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve

  efficiency

  · To carry out any other duties that are consistent with the job description as required

  · To maintain good house-keeping and health and safety practice in the workshop

  · To operate all Company owned tooling in a responsible manner

  · Complete vehicle conditions report sheets and job cards. Tick sheets to a high standard, at

  all times

  · To drive vehicles in a safe, lawful manner, taking into account the weather and

  traffic.conditions, reporting all faults with the vehicles you drive

  · Any other duties as requested by your manager in line with this job descriptio
