Job Description:

    Mandatory Technical Roles / Responsibilities

    §  In depth experience on Enterprise Storage Management 

    §  Open to work in a 24x7 support ( rotational weekend & night shifts )

    §  Design, plan, document, and support the configuration of logical and physical NAS  and SAN layouts.

    §  Provide direction for the installation and configuration of all NetApp software packages as needed to support business requirements.

    §  Create and manage scripts to automate the administrative tasks and provide system level reports

    §  Perform analysis and develop solutions based on established service agreements for capacity planning and performance tuning.

    §  Participate in the development of NAS and SAN level solution standards.

    §  Develop detailed design, installation, and configuration documentation for enterprise system deployments.

    §  Ensure in solutions and deployments of the security of infrastructure and compliance with all applicable security standards

    §  Recommend and oversee projects that expand, change, or improve the systems and related infrastructure.

    §  Provide assistance in reviewing performance and capacity requests as well as design solution resolution.

    §  Collaborate with the management to ensure an understanding of business cases and to ensure that the appropriate solution is selected that meets the business need.

    §  Develop solutions with a focus on reducing operating costs or increasing guest and crew experience. 

    §  Understand advances and changes in the technology industry and work directly with the vendors to assess new technologies.

    §  Contribute as necessary in a hands-on manner with the implementation of solutions in support of all projects.

    §  Work with other infrastructure teams for new systems designed and engineered.

    §  Act as the highest level of technical escalation for production issues encountered.

    §  Provide system support and troubleshooting expertise as needed for designed solutions.

    §  Perform other duties and special projects as required.

    §  Leverage experience to provide input to improvements (People, Process, Tools, and Technology) in the environment, and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks

    §  Resolve complex issues independently; coordinate and communicate changes and issues with the client and team members and determine root cause  

    §  Should have in-depth knowledge of tools such as CI, WFA, Active IQ

    §  Hands-on experience on Block Storage EMC / Pure / Cisco and Brocade

    §  Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN SRDF, Time Finder, Zoning, etc...

    §  Good understanding on Fiber Channel concepts.

     

     

     

     

     

    Optional Technical Responsibilities

    §  Understanding of VMware infrastructure specifically datastore provisioning and configuration

    §  Experience managing backup infrastructure; NetBackup version 7 or higher preferred

    §  General understanding of networking concepts such as VLAN, trunking, LACP, IP addressing and routing

    §   Advanced knowledge of file services administration and permissions management and file auditing

    §   Advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows environment, including Active Directory, DFS Namespace, CIFS file sharing, and windows clustering

    §  Understand procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance, and data protection.

     

     

    Other Mandatory Responsibilities

     

    §  Ensure vendors and services providers are providing optimal value to HSBC

    §  Reviews and evaluates the team\'s work

    §  Creates, maintains and/or contributes to the definition and documentation of any IT standard or service catalog item under team’s purview

    §  Leads efforts to improve processes and meet strategic goals within the team

    §  Develop team, technology and process roadmaps

    §  Ensures team follows IT processes including Change & Release management

    §  Oversees NAS performance and capacity by monitoring, alerting and reporting.
