  • Automation Engineer will be responsible for development and implementation of solutions that result in high-quality automated infrastructure. The role is part of a middleware engineering team that offers technology capabilities to inte
    al clients and partners. The core function of the team is to provide services that enhance software development and infrastructure lifecycle.

  Responsibilities:

  • Support and enhance technologies such as Git and Test Plans that promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Code and improve existing CI/CD pipelines to provide new features.
  • Establish standards and promote agile practices such as Kanban and Scrum.
  • Develop a deep understanding of technology platforms at Northe
    Trust. Optimize current utilization and practices.
  • Identify areas of improvement, introduce tools or develop solutions for automation.
  • Accelerate adoption of new technology across the enterprise by providing automated methods for installations, monitoring and maintenance.
  • Engage and develop solutions to help infrastructure and application teams realize automation goals.
  • Demonstrate agility and determination to engage on new tools and technology. Contribute automation expertise and skillset.
  • Serve as a L3 escalation on support issues and participate in team’s on-call rotation.
  • 2-3+ year of experience of L3 Support.

  Required technical skill set:

  • Hands on Git repo utilization.
  • CI/CD, Jenkins support and development on platforms such as Azure Dev Ops or BitBucket/Bamboo.
  • Experience with configuration management languages such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet. – Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code languages such as Terraform, Azure templates.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kube
    etes.
  • Working knowledge on private and public cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong fundamentals of Linux OS.
