    DevOps Lead

     

     

    Key Accountabilities

     

    • A history of leading engineering teams to deliver mode
      consumer facing digital products using agile techniques 
    • Be an inspiring and lead by example with a collaborative attitude within a demanding, maturing Agile environment 
    • Demonstrate a deep, hands on knowledge of TDD and BDD techniques 
    • Familiar with a couple of different languages, and well-versed in at least one 
    • Use the latest cloud technologies, processes and tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently 
    • Keen to collaborate with others, and you’ll give thought about how software fits into the bigger picture 
    • Experienced in Continuous Delivery practices and how they affect product quality and delivery 
    • Experienced with a range of agile practices and understand how and why they work 
    • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets 
    • We promote a DevOps culture so you will need to look beyond pure programming and get involved with the deployment and operation of the software we build. 
    • Be able to demonstrate you can manage, lead, motivate, mentor and coach teams of Engineers 
    • Have strong experience building highly productive teams of technically talented engineers

     

    Qualifications

     

    The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:

    • Technical Skills
      • Be hands-on expert in the following AWS technologies:
        • Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on GCP
        • Implement and automate security controls, gove
          ance processes, and compliance validation
        • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on GCP
        • Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the GCP platform
        • Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes
      • Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language
      • Experience building highly automated infrastructures
      • Experience administering operating systems
      • Understanding of mode
        development and operations processes and methodologies
      • Demonstrable experience of designing for security
      • Demonstrable experience of designing for failure
      • Demonstrable experience of facilitating solution design workshops 
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical detail with business stakeholders 
    • Tools / Methodologies
      • Source Control (like Git, Bitbucket, Svn etc)
      • Continuous Integration (like Jenkins, Bamboo)
      • Infrastructure Automation (like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
      • Deployment Automation & Orchestration (like Jenkins, VSTS, Octopus Deploy)
      • Container Concepts (LXD, Docker)
      • Orchestration (Kube
        etes, Mesos, Swarm)
         
      • Experience of working in an Agile and DevOps environment
    • Certification
      •  Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
