  We are looking for a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, rack & stack, cabling, power test, OS logs, and sign off document for our data centre infrastructure.

   

   

   

  Responsibilities:

   

  Design: The Data Centre Technician will be responsible for designing data centre infrastructure, including creating rack elevations, equipment placement and cable management plans.

   

  Rack & Stack: The technician will install and configure equipment such as servers, storage arrays, switches, and routers.

   

  Cabling: The technician will install and terminate copper and fibre cables, ensuring proper cable management and labelling.

   

  Power Test: The technician will perform power tests on newly installed equipment to ensure it is properly connected and configured.

   

  OS Logs: The technician will monitor and review operating system logs to ensure the health and stability of the data centre infrastructure.

   

  Sign off Document: The technician will be responsible for completing sign-off documents to document the installation and configuration of new equipment.

   

   

   

  Requirements:

   

  Associates degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

   

  At least 2-3 years of experience in a data centre environment.

   

  Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure design and best practices.

   

  Experience with server hardware, storage arrays, switches, and routers.

   

  Knowledge of cabling and cable management practices.

   

  Familiarity with operating system logs and log analysis.
