    This role is part of a dedicated team of SREs that operate mission-critical IT Infrastructure and Cloud Management platforms. The role requires communications skills and patience to work with people as well as technology. We encourage our engineers to work with and understand our users, leveraging our experience to understand problems, and design solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least 5 years of experience supporting, and implementing GCP Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud Technologies in accordance with industry best practices
    • Must have at least 1 years of experience with Google Anthos and GKE , or 2-3 years of experience with other Kube
      etes Deployments, on premise preferred.
    • Cloud Operations and Management Platforms such as Google Anthos, OpenShift, etc.
    • Docker & Containerization, Kube
      etes
    • Professional Services experience in large enterprise deployments is a plus
    • Experience with the deployment of Virtualization technologies is required
    • Fluent understanding of Agile and/or ITIL practices
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail
    • Independent, self-motivated and detail-oriented
    • Troubleshooting skills (patience and determination to find and solve problems)

    Required Skills & Knowledge

    • Proven experience in supporting Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud and associated integrations
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc
    • Experience with using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
    • Experience and working knowledge of Virtualization, Networking, Data Center, and Security
    • Must have the ability to understand the interdependencies of how various technology components integrate with one another
    • Experience with integrating heterogeneous environments
    • Experience with Automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts using tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.

    Strongly Desired Skills

    • Experience with automation tools such as, Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc.
    • Experience with manipulating RESTful APIs to programmatically automate manual tasks
    • Familiarity with the Cloud ecosystem, products and solutions
    • Industry Certifications related to Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), preferably K8S certifications such as CKA and CKS
    • Experience working with and integrating other vendors such as VMware, Pivotal, NetApp, Red Hat and other cloud technologies and ISVs
    • Knowledge of other cloud management platforms such as vRealize Automation, Cisco Cloud Center, and Red Hat CloudForms
    • Understanding of the Cloud Cost models and Optimization strategies
    • Working in a mission-critical IT operations environment

    Job Responsibilities:

      • Observability, monitoring & alerting from the top of the stack down to bare metal
      • Automation platforms and practices to help teams eliminate toil and improve customer experiences
      • Operating Kube
        etes and driving adoption of containerization
      • Collaborate with fellow engineers to develop and drive the team’s roadmap
      • Understand stakeholder needs to drive adoption
      • Listen to feedback to propose new solutions and iterative improvements

    Work Experience

    • Typical candidates will have at least 5-10 years of experience in the technology field, preferably in software engineering, and at least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
