    Overview:


     


    Business Services is a shared services business function within Global Banking and Markets.


     


    It provides a number of services across all GB&M asset classes:


     


    Client Management: Managing onboarding, monitoring/maintaining client info and client exits


     


    KYC services: Ensuring we know what we need to about our customer before and while doing business


     


    Entity reference data: Setting up and maintaining client reference data, including regulatory information


     


    This role will sit within the Digital Transformation of Client Outreach of GB&M Client Onboarding.


     


    Digital Transformation of Client Outreach programme Scope: The scope of the programme is to deliver a best in class Client On-boarding experience by applying latest user friendly cost effective technology. The application envisages to be the single point of access for the Client being on-boarded to Global Banking and Markets products.


     


     


    Purpose of the Job:


     


     


    The team are looking for a self-starting, experienced business analyst who is motivated to make a difference improving client experience, reducing costs, building a controlled environment while meeting all required HSBC regulatory obligations.


     


     


     


    Responsible For:


     


     


    Business Analyst


     


    ·         Perform detailed functional analysis (data, systems and interfaces). Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements, systems processes and designs seeking efficient and effective solutions to business problems.


    ·         Act as a conduit for knowledge and guidance to local teams representing the digital products


    ·         Be comfortable developing and working with prototypes to iterate experience design, jou
    eys and features


    ·         Work with a number of inter-related digital products owners to define the intended client and staff digital experiences



      • Analyse and manage the impact of changing requirements

      • Work with business process and data owners to provide product insights

      • Be equally comfortable considering complex data sets and their effect on the experience design and roadmap

      • Identify where the agreed business benefits and matching KPIs for the product can be surfaced and measured in jou
        eys

      • Work with risk and controls as required to achieve approvals and permissions. Consider these in jou
        ey/feature design

      • Work with the accountable product owners to consider how the product will be taken to market

      • Contribute to the development of wireframes, prototypes and other high/low fidelity tools to clearly articulate the jou
        eys, designs and features to stakeholders and team members

      • Work with local stakeholders [Business management, change] to gather, validate and iterate requirements based on stakeholder or local team feedback

      • Contribute to, and help groom the requirement backlog in collaboration with the accountable product owner. Ensure the wider team understand the backlog

      • Help to write and elaborate stories, and achieve validation of stories, interaction patte
        s, data models with team members

      • Contribute to the UX design work to bring digital products to life, exploiting the wider HSBC UX framework as required and providing inputs

      • Ensure compliance with all relevant inte
        al instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars), inte
        al control standards and exte
        al regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour



     


     


    ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience, skills, competencies etc)


    Essential Knowledge



      • Exposure to on-boarding and client lifecycle management in an Investment Banking with 5- 8  years of experience.

      • Proven experience with customer reference data, data modelling, data analysis, data migration and interface design.

      • Knowledge of agile Kanban and Scrum methodology with ability to thin slice stories to align with Sprint cycles.

      • Good understanding of the digital product development process, ranging from requirements and idea inception through to development and execution

      • Experience of working with digital requirements gathering and digital jou
        ey mapping. Able to articulate how these requirements are elaborated and validated

      • Able to demonstrate how customer centric thinking is expressed and reinforced through the digital product design processes

      • Strong understanding of digital UX and interaction design

      • Appreciation of API services and ability to interpret XML and JSON files.

    Desirable Knowledge


     



      • Experience in implementing Digital Tech like Analytics, Chat bot and OCR.

      • Knowledge and appreciation of micro services.

      • Investment Banking experience in the operations / back office area.

      • Knowledge of regulation impacting investment banking like FATCA, EMIR, MiFID, etc

      • Experience in working remotely.


     


    Desirable skills



      • Business Process Reengineering experience - Lean Sigma

      • Be able to contribute to the creation of both current and target operating models

      • Expert in VISIO and MS Office

      • Expert in use case modelling.

      • Experience of working with various Development Lifecycle Methodologies

      • Comfortable in Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum

      • Experience of working with usability and user experience.

      • Experience in UML

      • Wire-framing and mock up tooling
