    Job Description:

     

    24X7 production support team is central to the Mission Control for RtB in WPB Digital. The Mission control provides a complete end to end exposure of Prod support and DevOps models from Monitoring, triage, L2 Support, process automation, service improvements, identifying and fixing root cause by collaborating with teams across the globe and Incident avoidance.

     

     

     

    Keyword : Unix / WAS / Java / DevOps/ Production Support / Scripting / Python / Automation / AppDynamics / Splunk / PCF/ AWS Cloud / MicroServices / Mule Gateway

     

     

     

    Technical :

     

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to drive crisis calls, summarize the issue crisp and clear to new joiners and the ability to put in words the actions, important points from the discussion.

     

    Good analytical and problem solving skills that help in recovering services from outages.

     

    Skills in trouble shooting Java Applications deployed on any of the industry standard Front end Application Servers such as IBM WAS, IBM WPS, JBoss, PCF or EC2 instances on cloud. Experience in triaging and investigating issues based on alerts for Web Based and Mobile applications.

     

    Hands on and extensive experience on UNIX , Shell scripting and automation.

     

    Candidates with good understanding of Oracle database connections, TCP/IP Networks, Webservers, Data Centre, Cloud environments will be preferred.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    1. Member of 24x7 support team for java application support team in a multi-tier architecture.

     

    2. You will be responsible for monitoring & triaging of the alerts to avert potential outages and drive swift recovery of services from outages when they still occur.

     

    3. Identify and Automate routine tasks such as server health checks, automate for quicker diagnostics, investigations and recovery of known issues.

     

    4. Effectively drive tactical initiatives within the team.

     

    5. Represent Support team in crisis calls and contribute with solutions/ suggestions.

     

    6. Participate in Incident reviews and collaborate with wider teams (engineering, network, infrastructure, architects etc.) for incident avoidance by analyzing the incident trends, triggers and measures for early detection.

     

     

     

    Process :

     

    Experience in - Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge Management.

     

    ITIL Foundation Certification.

     

    Exposure to DevOps production support.
