  Job description:

             

  As a Data Platform Architect in Consumer Tech you will define, optimise and gove
  the specialised technology landscape for the Data Platform in Consumer Tech. The role has a truly global scope and is accountable for providing a world class and competitively differentiating data technology architecture for [Haleon].

   

  You will naturally & seamlessly partner, communicate & align across the technology organisation, including infrastructure groups, innovation groups, product development groups, the security engineering organisation & the Enterprise Architecture Function.

   

  Responsibilities

  • Use your specialised data architecture capability to optimise and maximise the data architectures being built in the Consumer Business.
  • Collaborate with your team to create & deliver Data Architecture Patte
    s which are consistent with a business that has significant growth aspirations and a competitive intent to leverage value from technology.
  • Assess new data technologies and articulate the transition from current to future state, striking the balance between standardization, customization, innovation, costs and risk management, while staying abreast of disruptive technology trends that can impact or benefit the business
  • Be a thought leader in data management, data analytics, data science and leverage your deep technical competency and interpersonal skills to drive business value and results.
  • Responsible for ensuring new data technologies and innovations are integrated into the organization, advising and recommending data architecture strategies, decisions, processes, tools, standards and methodologies.
  • Make bold technology decisions from a position of informed technical authority.

  • Expert level knowledge in two or more of the following subject areas specialisms, so that you can lead data technology architecture from a position of technical authority: o Data Engineering patte
    s and practices for efficient & optimised utilisation from raw data
  • Data Warehousing, semantic layer definitions and scaled data consumption patte
    s.
  • Distributed compute and processing data in parallel.
  • Robust enterprise grade data integration, ingestion, management & pipelines.
  • Data streaming and associated ”Lambda” style data architectures.
  • Operationalisation of Data Science outcomes, including continuous model qualification.
  • Experience of 2 or more of the following core Azure data components, or very strong adjacent experience from other platforms. o Azure Storage (Data Lake Store, Blob Storage, etc.
  • Data Bricks / Spark / Azure Data Lake Analytics
  • Azure DW/Synapse
  • Azure Functions, Event Hub and other adjacent data relevant components.
  • IaC / Automated delivery technology such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Azure Kube
    etes Service or other Containerised delivery technology.
  • Experience delivering specialised & detailed reference architectures as content
  • Experience with data modelling and distributed data architecture concepts, fluency with agile and DevOps methodology and automaton practices
  • Superb problem solving and outstanding communication skills with the ability to describe complex & abstract technical concepts to peers and engineers.
  • 16+ years’ total experience with at least 5 years of senior architecture leadership roles
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, other relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

   

  Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Data Streaming patte
    s and hybrid real-time / lambda integration architectures.
  • Familiarity with Machine Lea
    ing, Data Science & AI Technologies.
  • Experience building and operating GxP-regulated technology in Healthcare
  • Experience managing containers in Azure Kube
    etes Service
  • 5+ years utilizing Agile Product Management- Scrum and SAFe methodologies
