  Role Description:

  The Technical Project Manager (Cloud) will be responsible for overall execution and gove
  ance covering multiple work streams, adopting Agile practices to enable successful delivery of new products and services that protect HSBC. The role will be working in a multi-disciplinary team of Cloud Leads, Platform Owners, Engineers, and Architects, and will be responsible for driving forward project deliveries within the Asia Pacific geography.

   

  Responsibilities:

  · Product ownership on behalf of accountable product/platform owner

  o Ensure the goals, scope, product /platform and priorities are understood

  o Work closely with Cloud and Infrastructure teams to ensure interfaces are defined and understood

  o Ensure adherence to HSBC policy, gove
  ance controls and design standards

  o Work with third parties, which may include academia, vendors, Legal and R&D organisations.

  · Delivery Management

  o Will lead delivery of cloud projects and programmes, adopting the Agile delivery lifecycle

  o Work with the team to effectively manage the project backlog against clear priorities

  o Identifying, managing and communicating dependencies and risks to project delivery

  o Actively manage Blockers, Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies and escalating as required to the Project Owners or other responsible parties, making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation

  o High Level Design (HLD), Low Level Design (LLD) document review

  Requirements

  Essential Skillset/Experience:

  · Experience working as a Project/Delivery Manager in complex programmes

  · Technical knowledge of major Cloud Service Providers, at least one of GCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure. Hands on engineering experience is also desirable.

  · Knowledge of Agile project delivery with demonstrable experience, ideally with domain knowledge of any of, cybersecurity, machine lea
  ing or big data.

  · Experience managing Cloud Migrations and Application Onboarding projects

  · Understanding of compute, storage, and Data centre technologies and emerging trends in cloud computing and storage.

  · Understanding of the unique requirements for enterprise and commercial customer use of private cloud, hybrid cloud, and public cloud

  · Understanding of requirements, needs and Pain Points of Cloud Solution Architects

  · Strong familiarity with using JIRA and JIRA administration

  · Exceptional planning and leadership skills

  · Exceptional business and stakeholder management and communication skills

  · Experience of working with innovative teams creating bespoke solutions to novel problems

  · Experience of delivering solutions using Cloud and/or Big Data technologies

  · Candidates with 8+ years’ experience may be considered for Senior level role, while 3+ years may be considered as Junior level role
