• Job Description

  Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with App teams, works with vendor to provide a break-fix. Analyses the incident to arrive at root-cause.
  • Lead the design and implementation of API Gateway solutions.
  • Lead analytical and consulting working sessions to solve technical problems faced by the application teams trying to onboard to APIGEE Gateway.
  • Lead Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the APIGEE platform will be able to handle additional transactions in the future.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the APIGEE platform API Gateway.
  • Lead root cause analysis session to understand cause of issues in Production and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future.
  • Ensures adherence to SLAs by resolving tickets. Performs system health checks and reports anomaly.

   

  Requirements:

  • At least 4 years Strong experience with Apigee core administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway space (Mainly APIGEE ).
  • Must have good verbal and written English communication skills - being able to articulate architecture concepts and solutions to developers, managers.
  • Experience with integration security such as, OAuth, OAuth2 HTTPS (SSL), WS-Security, Signatures and Encryption.
  • Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, Splunk logging, latency (99th, 95th, median), monetization, and request and response modifications, using APIGEE Platform. SAML, HTTP Basic authentication.
  • Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub), good understanding of REST API and JSON, XML.
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security; Cloud platforms (preferred AWS/Azure).

  • Scripting (e. g., Shell, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go, Groovy).
  • Design and develop REST based APIs leveraging Java platform.

   

  Process Skills:

  • Experience in estimation, coordination with onshore and offshore teams and delegating work.
  • Agile / SCRUM methodology and DevOps strong practice exposure.
  • Experience in gove
    ance processes around databases and middleware.
  • Experience with configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications.
  • Experience in all phases of systems implementation, including analysis/design, development, documentation, testing, and support is required.
  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Problem and incident management Control processes.
  • Experience with ticketing tools and monitoring tools.

  Good knowledge with change and incident management process.
