  EIM (Enterprise Information Management) is non-customer facing application that is used to store all of HSBC’s application and technology inventory data (approx. 7500 applications). • It is built using a third party tool called Planview (previously known as Troux), hosted on Linux application servers with an Oracle Database. • Data from the application is used in a number of key HSBC programmes and in regulatory reporting as well as providing large amounts of key management information to various stakeholders. • The application consists of a web based UI, accessed by users and the support team, various reports and dashboards (BIRT and Qlik, moving to SSRS) and there are also a number of integrations with other applications in HSBC (built using APIs, database connections and file transfers). • The EIM team is managed from the UK but the engineering and data analysis teams are primarily split across sites in Hyderabad and Pune respectively. • IT Operational Data pulls together information from a number of key inventories, of which EIM is a key part.

   

  Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to be a developer in the Operational Data team, primarily developing and/or supporting the EIM application from a technical perspective. Mostly this will be via the development of the application itself (UIs, workflows, reports, entitlement definition etc) and integrations with other applications. Increasingly there are opportunities to participate in the building of APIs to support EIM.
