Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
? A strong sense of Software Craftsmanship
? Write modular, well-tested, and maintainable code
? Familiar with automated code documentation
? Read, write and think JavaScript, both ES5 and ES6
? Strong knowledge of and experience with the Angular (5 or later) framework and its features
? Interest in the ongoing developments of front-end frameworks in the market
? Knowledge of build and dependency management systems such as npm
? Knowledge of unit and e2e testing
? REST API design and usage, JSON
? Git and working with the GitFlow process of pull requests and code reviews
? Knowledge and understanding HTML5 and CSS (and/or SCSS), accessibility (ADA)
? Knowledge and understanding Typescript or other typed languages Basic understanding of the following would be a plus:
? Working with *Nix-style terminals, Bash, shell scripting, SSH
? Knowledge of security protocols, security policies and authentication mechanisms such as SAML and OAuth.
? Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, ...)
? Familiarity with persistence technologies such as NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, ...)

Reporting details:
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be part of the IT Application Development team whose team members are focusing on the development and integration of customer facing applications. You will: participate in the design, development and implementation of complex/high impacting EMEA projects, and rollout of global projects. Collaborate with other developers (front- & back-end) and Middleware Engineers to implement scalable, extensible and standards-based solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements. Occasional travel required usually within Europe but also possibly further afield.
Using the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises (SAFe) methodology, you will work with multi-disciplinary scrum teams, both onsite and offshore, developing a new online portal targeting various market industries and providing transportation and warehousing web based solutions for those markets; bundling several of TNT and FedEx’s products and value added activities into one.
