· The DevOps Engineer is responsible for ensuring operations for infrastructure and application solutions are reliable and sustainable by incorporating automation.
· Responsible for helping to define all DevOps practices and processes to enable a reliable, repeatable , and high quality release process, to include:
o Software product configuration management (SCM)
o Coordination on release planning
o Continuous Integration (CI)
o Continuous Delivery (CD)
o Continuous Testing
o Continuous Logging, Monitoring, Alerting & Feedback
o Continuous Improvement
· Follow appropriate change/release management practices.
· Support and maintain infrastructure solutions utilizing required tools and technologies.
· Configure and monitor cloud infrastructure and services as it pertains to the application\'s hardware and business processes.
· Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams throughout the application lifecycle
· Partner with Corporate Information Security to ensure all security policies and audit inquiries are addressed
· The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of environment planning including: capacity management, monitoring, scalability, auditing, disaster recovery, and interoperability and infrastructure as code.
· Configuring, delivering, supporting and debugging of product assigned.
· Collaborate with other infrastructure, engineering, application and support teams.
· Liaise and answer queries with key stakeholders on issue.
· Provide technical support to the production issues.
· Prototyping and Proof of concepts as required.
· Writing documentation and standard operating procedures, processes, and scripts when required.
Technical Skills:
· 6+ years of demonstrable experience with configuration, orchestration, and automation (build and deployment) tools.
· Wide range of experience on Jenkins on Implementing Continuous Integration, Creating Pipe Lines and Jenkins Administration and Plugin Management.
· Strong working knowledge of PowerShell Scripting,
· Good Experience and Knowledge on GitHub Operations and Branching & Merging Methodologies.
· Experience on Automating SCM & Build and Deploy Operations
· Strong Build & Release experience
· Strong Knowledge on JIRA, Confluence Working experience on Agile Methodologies
· Good knowledge on Artifact repository Management tools (Preferably Nexus) & Test Automation Management Tools
· Experience with Azure DevOps / Cloud services would be an added advantage.
· Familiarity with IT Infrastructure delivery and related process would be an advantage.
Other Soft Skills:
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
· Working across various cultures and geographies.
· Should be willing to work in shifts / on call in case required.
· Able to work independently, under least supervision.
Relevant Experience: 6+ years
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm UK Time
